MATROX TRIPLE HEAD2 GO EDGE BLENDING PROFESSIONAL
Your project is routine for the professional "speaker support" business (i.e. Sorry for the triple post! Late night and a slow internet connection. This seems to make sense to me, however can anyone more experienced offer any criticisms of this idea or alternative solutions?Ī concurrent post has been automatically merged from this point on. But it seems to be the only thing I can think of at the moment. Obviously not an ideal solution, as the edges will be tricky to line up and then the output to the projectors must be split over two display devices. Theoretically then, if one projector would provide 2000 lumens of brightness over a 7m x 3m area, using two projectors covering half the area each would provide 4000 lumens over the whole area. My potential idea for a solution to this would be to use two projectors with the edges aligned to create a larger image. However even with a white screen I'm worried the image won't be bright enough. I'm planning to do some testing and work out whether this is possible. We wanted to use black material, but we may have to use white if the projection brightness is not high enough. We're projecting onto Rosco projection material. However I'm worried about the brightness level. We may be able to borrow however, some business/standard brightness projectors, of about 2000 lumens. Due to us being an amateur theatre group, we're unable to pay for a high-quality, high-brightness projector. If there's three identical projectors yu could go through themenus and see what is set differently.I'm planning a show which requires rear-projection onto a 7m x 3m screen at the back of the stage. Is the third projector doing some kind of auto setup when it boots up for the day - trying to reconfigure its resolution and orientaiton etc ? Maybe a certain order of bootup could solve it - turn on the projector before booting the mac, then starting isadora, etc. set stage 3 to "left third" and stage 1 to "right third." see if the problem is coming from your programming or the triple head. Maybe also test if it still hapens if you rearrange the stages - ie. This would also help you talk to the production over the phone - having it in front of you visually.

DuncanĪlso - do you have a version of this project with you on the road that you could test? You could determine if it's a problem in the local hardware talking to the local mac or if its inherent to isadora - don't change your project, just hook up an external monitor to your laptop and see if the problem crops up when seeing the three stages squished into your test monitor.

Is this something someone has experienced before? Any ideas on how to resolve it? I'm edgeblending between stage two and three, so its important for the position of the images to be consistent.

I'm trying to coach the master electrician through troubleshooting but ilthe problem seems to persist. The show has already opened and I am out of town. I don't know why this happens or where in the line the problem exists.

Or occasionally if a quad distort actor on stage three is reset, the problem will solve itself. It can usually be resolved by rebooting the computer or quitting Isadora, although sometimes this has to be done many times before the problem is resolved.

It did it again and I realized it was a software problem, but I don't know where the issue is. I was suprised the projector could have moved again so I moved it back. When I booted up the show the next day the image moved six inches to the left. I figured the projector was bumped by the electrician while focusing so I lined it up and all went well. I built the whole show, and when we got into second day of tech, the image on stage 3 shifted about 6 inches to the right.

I created stage one as left third, two as center third, and three as right third. I built a fairly simple show recently for a production of midsummer using a matrox triple head 2 go digital edition.
